Free holidays
A lot of us sit at our desks on a dreary November day dreaming of bathing in the sun, cocktail in hand next to a swimming pool. Holidays are some of our favourite times of the year, but sadly they do not come cheap! It’s easy to spend a lot of money on food when you are working. The odd sandwich from Pret a Manger and the morning croissant on the way to the office soon adds up, but Google actually offers free foodto their employees. This free food isn’t just the odd sandwich either! Think more along the lines of fresh breakfast bowls, vegan delicacies, cupcakes, lobster lunches, scallops, tacos, and frankly so many nice things that we have to stop listing them before we get a real craving for a Deliveroo! Pub and beauty discounts
Some of our favourite things to do are to head to the pub after work with colleagues, or to treat ourselves to some pampering over the weekend. Both can cost a pretty penny however, and when you are a graduate you don’t always have the luxury to treat yourself to these things! Employees who join Skyscanner get the chance to take advantage of discounts from local pubs and beauty salons, making it easier to justify those little treats!

Everyone loves a bargain, and graduates who join companies in industries such as retail can often take advantage of employee discounts too. Employees who join ASOS are said to be able to get up to 40% off purchases on the online store, meaning they can save a fortune on fashion and beauty products from hundreds of brands!

Starting a family is no longer restricted to having a baby, and more and more people are welcoming four legged furry creatures into their homes well before they have their first child. A new puppy requires care and attention, so companies like Brewdog offer employees paid Paw-ternity leave if they decide to get a puppy!
These amazing perks are just the tip of the iceberg of what’s out there. If you are looking at revitalising your current offering as a way to attract more graduates then remember that style over substance doesn’t work, and not to overlook important EVP’s such as job security, training and development and working environment!
