WaveOptics, who started in 2014, are a technology enforced software company who creates display lenses, known as waveguides. Starting off as three engineers, Waveoptics created this multi-national company, now they hold 45 research and development scientists. Waveguide is the key component in their Augmented Reality (AR) devices. Their AR glasses create a computer-generated image that is overlaid on top of the real world. The two features that allow allows users to see these images is a light source (a miniature projector) and means of transferring the image to the individuals eyes.

WaveOptics teamed up with PEGATRON – to make a pair of glasses for professionals across various fields such as technicians, facilities maintenance technicians, doctors, and business executives.
Rokid
Rokid, is an AR, AI and robotics maker who was a 2018 CES Innovation Award winner and selected by WIRED as one of The Best 10 Gadgets at CES 2018. which has teamed up and has created Project Aurora – gamified AR glasses. These lenses function as a 3D virtual device extension of users’ phones, laptops, gaming consoles and tablets, to massively improve their entertainment and gaming experiences.
Here is an example of wearing the glasses in an everyday environment, being able to pinpoint a destination and follow it and perhaps pick up a coffee on the way!
