Unite Copenhagen – Combining Technology with Creativity

The globally revered tech event Unite Copenhagen has come to a close after an amazing four day spectacle. As with all Unite Events this event has focused on how technology, creativity and interactive learning can create an incredible mix.

Learning at the Expo

The Unite Copenhagen event created multiple avenues for its participants to learn and engage with as many new ideas as possible. Attendees had the opportunity to ‘Ask the Experts’ engaging with, feature speakers and product experts throughout the event. Pop-up talks featured tips and tricks on how to learn and implement best practices into all forms of technology and learning. Meetups also allowed like-minded individuals to discuss the details of each day.

This years topics

3D – A key tech feature across all the industry sessions was the unparalleled benefits that real-time 3D can make for learning and increasing productivity. Some of the talks included:

Simulating the invisible with real-time 3D

Led by Graham Brierley from Laing O’Rourke this talk discussed the differences that site specific and real time 3D simulations can make to the construction industry.

How Volvo embraced real-time 3D and shook up the auto industry

Led by Timmy Ghiurau from Volvo the talk discusses the pioneering use of gaming software within the automotive industry.

Gaming – As the event is hosted by Unity Technologies games development is a key feature throughout. Some of the talks included:

Creating games with a tiny binary footprint: Project Tiny overview &

roadmap

Led by Jean-Christophe Cimetiere and Vladimir Vukicevic from Unity this session taught developers about Project Tiny, it’s state of development and future.  

Hosting happy gamers: resolving bugs and patching holes

Led by Josie Messa from Unity, this talk focused on how you can achieve an awesome hosting and player experience.
