Netflix Nightmares

Scrolling...

That’s all I ever do on Netflix, mindlessly scrolling.

In fact, according to a 2016 survey published in Bustle, the average person spends 19 minutes scrolling on the streaming service before deciding what to watch. That’s basically 20 minutes, and as Netflix keeps adding more and the choice is just oh-so-tough.

You know the situation: you sit down for a nice night of Netflix and Chill and you end up going to bed having watched little more than the menu screen, 30 seconds of six films and with an achy thumb from overuse of the downward scroll button.

Recommended for you...

Erm when did I last watch a dead end comedy? Thanks for wasting 2 hours of my Sunday.

Don’t get me wrong some of the recommended shows are great, but not enough to fill my weekend binge (and not quite as good as GoT).

Your mum’s next door neighbour Veera is still connected to your account and you feel bad kicking her off, as you go to watch your fave show and click on the episode that you thought you were up to, you learn Veera has in fact overtook you and you are now watching the main character die in front of your eyes.

Google Search...

Spending over an hour googling best films on Netflix to finally decide you can’t find anything worth watching.

You also put it in your group chat and everyone replied the shows and films you have already watched, great help!

You finally see something you think may be worth watching and then realise it has a dreadful rating on IMDB/Rotten Tomatoes. Time to start the search again!!
